Health Question

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I thought Theis the construction company were the first to bring Toyota to Australia with the Scout, a rugged ute/tabletop work truck that was near unstoppable. The rust finally killed them, but they did outlast anything else in the hard going construction industry. Maybe the opened up the market for other imports, or come to think of it, the first Toyota importers were Theis Toyota, so it must have been them and they developed a branch for vehicle sales.

"tanks" here---
Les Theis ran the construction side of the company, and one of his several brothers ran the Toyota part.
Theis were the first to bring Toyota into Australia.

Had a mate in my youth (some centuries ago :P ) who owned a Honda 600 sports car... chain-driven final drive!!
Engine was straight out of the Motorcycle of the same configuration. So the final drive was carried over too!
Sounded like a threshing machine with a hernia.

I also had an acquaintance, wouldn't call him a mate, who had a new Honda 600 sports. He didn't keep it for long.

Well, that's a shame! You can buy one today - this very minute - for $30,000. They have been collectable for some time. That's only the second mistake I have known you to make, Ray.

HI. sorry to go back to the Honda S600 but the one that is for sale at the moment for $30,000 is a local Loxton car that has been restored to better than new and I reupholstered the seats and other trim on it. Had a drive in it out the road and back. What a wild rough noisy ride. They have certainly made a lot of improvements in cars since. Cheers John
