That sounds like a plan Dot. What park are you thinking of and when? Maybe this Sunday?Dot wrote:Nothing like sitting around watching people eat even if chewed. I was thinking about a little gathering in the Park or similar with all the others like Kappy etc to see what they were all about. Helen & Paul would also like to catch up. But Oh well. Not one problem coming through immigration at all so what was the $600 odd for in the first place.? xT1 Terry wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:46 pm So we phoned George, set the day as tonight, no show he says, we even offered to pre-chew a steak and spit it into her mouth like feeding a baby bird, but still a no go, maybe another day when Dottie recovers from her ordeal sneaking over the border to avoid the immigration checks .......![]()

A bribe? They probably figured if you were willing to pay your own way over then they should give you a discount on the bride to get back in?Dot wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 3:13 pm

Will Helen & Paul still be here for the Sunday in the park event?

Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
Sounds good to me and Helen, How about Sunday 15th @ 11am ish at the park near the pub/ferry ?? and people bring a plate of what ever. I will bring sausage rolls & sauces, Helen will bring devon rolls, so maybe others could do fart bomb eggs, little boys ? sandwiches? fruit salad? what ever floats yu boat. Does that sound ok? .Other suggestions?Swisslulu wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 3:36 pmThat sounds like a plan Dot. What park are you thinking of and when? Okay, so Margaret will bring the stuffed eggs and I will come up with something. It was suggested that the Mary Ann Reserve would be a good venue.

BTW, cabin noise - we have to shout at each other and road noise (I think) from the house too. Probably have been spoilt by not much noise in the LandCruiser. Although, we have hired Merc MH in Canada and Fiat MH in NZ and I don’t recall this level of noise.
