Surrounded...

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Surrounded...

Post by Chuck »

On Thursday the Katoomba High School - NSW - announced it was closing & hopefully re-open on Monday... due to one staff member diagnosed with the corona virus.

The neighbour on one side of us is a teacher at that school.

Yesterday, the neighbour on the other side of us was working in the back garden... with a really hacking cough.

Hopefully there is no connection.

The problem is with winter approaching there will be sore throats, coughs ect., hopefully the virus won't get out of control here as it has done overseas, guess it is better to stay home & only go out if necessary.
The eldest g'sons boss told him to go to the Dr when he presented at work with sore throat & fever, he mixes with the public daily fortunately he is ok.

Time to self isolate, and probably stay away from a few of the forums because some of the stuff they are spreading seems to be catching as well  And stay away from the Corona, although they are offering a free roll of toilet paper with every purchase ;)

A good tip I got from a health worker yesterday was to make sure you keep mouth/throat wet by drinking frequently. IF you have contracted the virus hopefully it will get washed down to stomach where stomach acids kill the virus. Dryness will allow it to be inhaled therefore into lungs.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Went to a granite belt wine society meeting on Friday night
Saturday morning had a sore throat.
Saturday afternoon had a 1/2 bottle of Drambiue
Sunday morning woke up brand new, no sore throat.
Have I found the cure ?

I was gunna try Fireball with ice to dilute it a bit  The Dubliner Honey Whiskey is a tad too hard on the TV's .........
I reckon Warrabilla Durif would shift the virus out of the mouth and throat and probably kill any in the lungs just from the fumes  A thorough alcohol swab applied internally, no need to self isolate, you couldn't go outside even if you wanted too 8-)
