"tanks" here---Ray,
I had good teachers at school.
It took the Army to teach me how to forget.
Now I can't even remember where I put my teeth.
I know they are in the motorhome somewhere, and it is parked next to the carport in it's usual place.
Keith.

Re: Australian Trivia Only
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Australian Trivia Only
Tanks,
There are three signs of ageing:
1. Loss of memory
2. Ummm... I forget the others.

Now that I’m in my twilight years, I spend a lot of time thinking of the hereafter.
I walk into a room and think, “Now, what am I here after?”

Re: Australian Trivia Only
Ok once again it will be a short quick answer which will not take long to answer. Who was the first European to discover Australia, what year?

I’ve been getting a fair bit of airtime recently, so I’ll hang back on this one.

Portuguese seafarer Christopher de Mendonca lead a fleet of four ships into Botany Bay in 1522 almost 250 years before Britian's Captain Cook.

Wow, really? I always thought it was William Dampier on the far west coast or Janzoon in the Dufyken up on Cape York. I wonder what Mr Google thinks?
Edit, well there you go. You can learn something every day with this forum.

Guess that is one good thing about Trivia, keeps the brain active & you do learn more, even if you forget it later

Re: Australian Trivia Only
Looks like we may as well forget about keeping the brain cells active as only a couple of us seem to be into quiz .
