The restrictions on business & travel are really hurting the American economy.
He doesn’t want the cure to be worse than the disease, so he’s thinking of lifting all restrictions in about a week.
He assured the media — and therefore the people — that the economy would recover quickly and the virus would just disappear.

Maybe it will cull the herd, like alcohol culls the slower moving brain cells and that is why you feel smarter after a few drinks .... I think that came from the show "Friends" the postman's mate I think, but can't remember his name
It will certainly thin out the heavily populated areas and eventually Trump has to catch it if he lives what he preaches, then things might change big time. As for it destroying the economy, I don't think there was an economy to destroy in the first place, it was all numbers on screens and sheets of paper, not great housing and social conditions for all the US citizens. That is where true wealth is measured, how well are all the population traveling, not just the top few %

The next collection of voters will hopefully be smarter, it does take a flush of the gene pool to make that happen unfortunately

He has imposed no restrictions so has none to lift. Dumb and Dumber (Pray-the-Gay-away Pence), pretend they are in charge. Any restrictions and travel bans imposed in the USA have been imposed by the individual State Governors. Also noteworthy that the states where infection rates are rapidly climbing are those that have no lock-downs or restrictions.

This virus can be likened to pouring a good deal of chlorine in the US gene pool.
