Self Isolation

Post by Kappy »

I was at a CVP NSW side of Mildura when the proverbial hit the fan.

Some of my friends suggested I return home, that meant 14 days Quarantine in SA and WA.

A friend put the feelers out, and another friend has allowed me to camp up on his 5 acres in Bringelly NSW for the duration.

So I did a 960k two day trip from Mildura and now about 50k from Sydney and not far from Major shops.

The downside is its pretty wet here from recent damages after the fires.

So now I'm stuck where I'm, literally, as I really have no immediate plans worrying about getting out is not a priority.

Picking up one of them portable washing machines tomorrow, to be more self sufficient.

I checked out them wash balls, thanks Lesley, however they suggest warm water, will go with wool wash to start with.

So know just sit tight

Kappy I also just use the wool wash = no rinsing needed.

Thanks Lesley,

I got some wool wash for the time being.

BTW got from Anaconda for $143, thought that reasonable.

Next I need to instal my clothes line on my awning legs.

If the rain stops tomorrow will do some jacking up to level things a bit , got some sleepers to put under the duels.

At times like these. hydraulic self leveling would be handy.

oh, I just realised that your bogged. Is the road behind the bus and higher?

Hope you can get out before winter sets in.

At Taggerty, it took two OKA's linked together to pull Petel's 5'r and Iveco out - and that was going straight up a slight grassy gradient.

I think on this occasion something with a suitable winch would do the trick.

Gonna have to put out the feelers.

Tried jacking up at the axle up, just sank in the soft ground.

"tanks" here---Kappy,
Have you tried letting down the tyres a bit.
I'm just thinking a bit as to what might help you get traction. I know it works in sand.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

It's hard to tell in the photo.

Is the bus pointing down hill or up hill?

And where is the exit?
