Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

"tanks" here---
I was having a great day 'till I went to Coles Online and found out a head of celery is over $10.00
Truss tomato are down to $4.98 for 6 tomatoes, pumpkin is bloody expensive, and a cabbage is $6.00. Bananas are 82 cents each, and watermelon is $2.00 /kg. which makes an average size watermelon around $15.00 each.
Why the sudden increase in cost of fruit and vegies ?

ALSO Coles have increased the delivery fee from $8 (fee if the order is over $100),and now $12 and free delivery over $200 per order.

IS IT BECAUSE I AM GETTING OLD and I remember what the costs were only 4 months ago.
Keith

p.s. I have planted seeds (in pots) for tomato and capsicum, and they have all germinated and growing nicely.
I am now about to plant watermelon, pumpkin and cabbage or cauliflower in the back yard.
I have to make the vegie garden when I get enough energy. Maybe after winter in the spring growing season.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

I was hoping for at lest Easter off as a holiday, but it appears the boss is real slave driver so even have to work on Easter Friday, the day of drinking, eating fish and telling tall stories around a fire some where in the bush or at a get together. Self isolation doesn't even seem to work cause I'm considered to be an essential worker .... either I work and earn $$ or we starve and I loose my man shed

Good morning all. 10 ml in gauge yesterday am. We are feeling very frustrated, and extremely sad since receiving a phone call yesterday evening. I have probably spoken about my bestie from Gin GIn primary school then nursing at Bundaberg, with her and her husband in rooms next door in the nursing home, her with Parkinsons & Dementia, to the stage where she should not be here- knows no one and basically just existing. Peter died yesterday with Motor Neurone, earlier than expected. Their daughter (Weipa and son Melbourne) had flights booked next week to meet up to see their parents. Theona managed to get a charter from Weipa then had to hire a car at Cairns to Townsville. Adrian has had to drive from Melb to Townsville so hoping all his paper work will get him through the borders. Feel so bloody useless and know we cannot go up there. Bruce's brother and Peter were the reasons we had decided to stay in QLD this year and now they have both gone. Poor Peter had all his faculties so knew what he had coming with his illness.
