Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
I have noticed many posts using the constructions 'should of', 'had of', 'could of' etc.
This is a transcription of the mis-hearing of the vocal abbreviation of the word 'have' when speaking rapidly (or lazily).
The correct English contruction is 'should have', 'had have', 'could have' and so forth.
It would greatly lengthen the life of my teeth if people would remember this, as I grind my teeth every time I read it.
Thank you.
Here endeth the lesson. Class dismissed.

Bernie,
You seem to be having some trouble with either your spelling or typing...
SWMBO (retired senior high school English/History teacher) wants to join the crusade:
1. Please learn the difference in using ‘less’ and ‘fewer’,
2. Please stop using ‘impact’ when you mean ‘affect’.
3. Stop saying you ‘gifted’ something to someone! The verb in the past tense is ‘gave’.
4. Please learn where to correctly use ‘number’ and ‘amount’.
End of rant. We will now resume normal transmission.
