Put the closed in trailer on the Hino and headed into Adelaide on a supply trip. Toll for the new shipment of cells, an engineering place that cut the 3mm aluminium sheets to sizes we can handle easier, the sheets supplied from a business close by, then Tindo Solar to pick up Brian's panels for his solar array extension. Managed to forget all about the fans and watching the temp gauge after a few kms and was reminded by the over temp light came o, pulled over and crawled under to plug them in, all good but didn't realise my phone had fallen out of my pocket.
Did all the pick ups till we were pulled up outside Tindo, went to pull out the phone ...... Checked all the usual spots including beside my 'puter because it is my hotspot for the interweb, nothing. This morning, retracted the search steps, then back up the road to the spot I'd connected the fans .... and there it was. Somehow I hadn't run over it with the Hino or the trailer but it has rained all day yesterday and over night and was still raining when we picked it up. It still turns on but has some serious mental issues possibly cause by separation anxiety but more like water logged.
At least I rescued the sim, so if worst comes to worst I'll have to buy a new phone and go through the steep learning curve of how to operate a more technically advance unit the the Samsung S5 was, and I still haven't master it yet so ......
But all in all, the Hino went great, we managed to do all we had to do in an afternoon and now just need to shift the 44ft bus out of the yard so we can get the trailer closer to the door and the crane, I reckon Jimny will get that job, makes manoeuvring any trailer in through the side door much easier

Terry, pull your phone into as many bits as you can and leave it on top of an electric HWS ( if you have one) for a day or so. Then reassemble it. Have also done the same thing but inside a jar of rice. It worked for me with a Samsung S5 a few times.

All the bits are in the air stream from the office air con on heat cycle so they should dry out soon and we will see what we get when I reassemble it. Never a good thing when you tip up the phone and water runs out .....

Some of the stuff that I have dropped a phone into could loosely be described as water.
Good luck.

Bernie, If it had only gone in my ear, then that would have been the least of my problems. But, unfortunately that is not the case. I could go into detail, but it is dinner time and I don't want to put anyone off their tucker. :) :D
