Morning Kay , its just a gravel quarry now , was back in the 80's a Magnatite mine , must have become to expensive to mine , was also in the beginning a gold/silver mine and still has semi-precious stones .
I went in when it was still mining Magnatite , they gave us a quick tour...don't know if (because of OH laws) you can still get a tour ??
If you ring the girl in the office will tell you more before you (if) go there .

Good morning 14, feels colder, we've had really cold S/W winds, o'cast & looking like we might get some rain.

The ocean has been big & doesn't let the water out of the lake with the high tides we were up at midnight, our jetty had water lapping thru it, need to put the cat on the mooring, if it wasn't for the poles it would of been sitting aloft the jetty, l had to ring our g'son to help with securing it.

Didnt get the bark mulch yesterday , old mate had to go out so that's today's job .
Run the cable for the inverter in the van...another job done.

Good morning everyone. 12 deg here heading for 24. Looks like another great day on the GC. We are doing the big lake walk this morning. About 7km but it is all flat going, so it's ok.We finally got most of the garden cleanup to the dump yesterday. Don't know what's on my list today, except it flu shot day.
