It would be a shame if you had to cancel the whole trip, Kay. Everyone we know that has visited Lara Wetlands absolutely raves about the place, so it’s a definite must see for us.Macca wrote:Good morning all. Gee Lesley, checking what I had roughly mapped out a few weeks ago seems as though , so far, we are on the same page. Found out price of Lara Wetlands and that came off our plans. Whole trip possibly cancelled.

Re: Good morning daily
Lesley a very good mate of mine lives just over from the free camp in Morven .
Was talking to him just last week...I worked with him through the 80's .
He used to live in Hervey Bay back then .
He and his wife are going through some medical issues at the moment .
Must get out there before....????

Re: Good morning daily
Bernie, it’s about 8 years since we last camped here and it really has changed. There is a new pub that is almost finished being built and a new motel, a couple of new houses and a Friendlies Grocer which I’m sure wasn’t here back then.
There are about 30 rigs here in the Recreation Ground. When we arrived this morning there were 5 units up at the power boxes- now they are jammed in like sardines over there. We chose to park by the front fence line where there was no one. Now I’m wondering if we actually have an escape route at the moment.

Re: Good morning daily
Another late start today. I'm glad someone got the rain that we were supposed to get. It turned out a beautiful day for painting. But I didn't take the chance. But I did get other stuff done. We'll see what the days brings after we get back from walking. Safe travels everyone.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everybody it looks like its going to be a bit fresh today. We have a high wind warning so it looks like the creek walk this morning will be best. Today is take the masking tape off day. I hope that all goes well and my new paint doesn't peel off in sheets. Safe travels if you are on the road. Stay warm everyone, have a great day.
Cheers
