Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I think you’re right, Jon.
Spent today ferrying SWMBO to Dr’s appointment, then some quick shopping to restock the pantry, as she dislikes the mask intensely. Wants to minimise shopping trips, so we now have enough food for a month!
No time to even look at the wine rack. 😢
Another Dr’s appointment tomorrow. 🙄
I might get to the wine by Christmas... 😳

Citizenship ceremony next year or next month Dot? Sorry still won't be able to get there to watch, but it would have been nice to cheer you on. xxxx

Another lair day here. More kiln work and still working on letters and numbers for the letterbox. It is certainly keeping me busy and I am not inspired to do a thing to improve the lair. I probably should be clearing out a lot more stuff and having carpet replaced, but that seems a little bit drastic to me. I am yet to find a carpet place that organises for all of your furniture and junk to be moved in and out for the install day. Just one step too far for us I suspect. The carpet will stay threadbare and covered by big rugs. Maybe I should buy even bigger rugs soon.

Time for a warm bed, so night all xxx

2nd Sept 2020 is the day but they may be sorry, my speech is jumbled and if they have a drink to celebrate I tend to dribble so hoping the photographer is good at his job to photoshop the dribbling dysphasic person   Telling you now if there are people there that can not speak English I will be saying something,I had to jump through bloody hoops to be able to apply. Last night was sooooo cold the frost was ever so heavy but seems this is the end of the nice weather and the cold and rain will be upon us for the weekend. What don't people understand about this virus and toilet paper? they must of figured it out from last time your bum is not effected. Deborah if your neighbors are being naughty with the rules I would be calling the coppers for sure and for the noise I would play either heavy metal or opera in their direction. The world has gone bloody mad, kids bashing and stabbing the man in his eye, that slapper that bashed the policewoman's head onto concrete, the guy in Qld that attacked a copper with a knife, I just want to get out of civilization for a few months. End of rant so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Ray x :D

Dot if there was a safe place to escape to, I would join you in a flash. xxxx

Don't think we will be allowed to leave our state for a while now and any of our mates who are in Qld will be wondering if they should stay or return home. What a mess some selfish ignoramuses have caused.

Today I had a positive start. The kiln gave me a lovely fancy bowl...not perfect but a positive. I have finally figured out how to fire iridescent glass and get some amazing colours appear and then I made a fancy lacy glass edging that worked well too. So overall, happy place today.

We have a 2 week timeshare exchange booked in Bright Vic in October (booked 10 months ago). It now looks like we shall lose those 2 weeks due to those careless Victorians. If we were to go there we would have to self isolate in a hotel at our expense for 2 weeks.

George

Give them a ring and ask if you can use it when borders open, they should try to help considering the situation. I did tobacco picking at Bright many yrs ago but that didn;t last too long as the place was literally crawling with snakes.

George,
Us border Victorians are suffering to protect Gladys’ precious state. Rutherglen is not included in the ‘Border Bubble’... despite the cross-border lives we all lead.
NO Covid-19 here — EVER — and we’re effectively locked down harder than Melbourne. Can’t cross the border to shop, so have to drive 90km return to avoid price-gouging by local supermarket.
Our local clinic was closed down because it is staffed by doctors from a clinic in Corowa (10km away) who would have to self-isolate for 14 DAYS after ONE DAY tending local patients!
So I need a border pass to see my doctor at the NSW clinic!
I can’t have my car serviced, because that’s not a valid reason to cross the border!
Good thing our car blew a radiator hose in Wodonga, rather than Albury. Otherwise once repairs were done we could not have retrieved it from across the border!
P!ssed off with Gladys... and complaining NSWmen.
It’s Gladys who’s stopping you getting to Bright.
Like us, Bright hasn’t had any Covid-19.
So much for “We’re all in this together.”
🤬

Ray

Minus five last night. This morning the birdbath was frozen again. Frustrated birds were pecking at the ice trying to get a drink or a bath.
Severe frost on the grass. Fog until 11:00. Max of 11deg.
Good day for a book.
Hoping for better days soon.
Electric blanket is pre-warming bed... I’m off shortly. 😀
