Showers and rain forecast all day today here. Julie's face swelling has decreased somewhat but still painful to touch. hoping to sort out what will happen about our 2 week holiday in Bright VIC that is booked for Oct 9-23.

Hi Dave,
The tree was about 65+meters tall. They were using a 65 m cherry picker to reach into the canopy to fell it. And then, they we below the top.
The base is about 4 meters in diameter.

Very interesting watching it being felled.
Most importantly was to lay down mulch 2-3 feet thick and logs to soften the fall and stop it rolling.
Grubbing tomorrow. It's taken 25 years of complaining to the council to have it felled.

Wow, it would have caused heaps of damage if it had ever fallen down.
We have a tree out the front, the only part on our property is the lower trunk & some roots, it hangs out across the road, we applied to council to remove same 23 yrs ago & were refused, eventually it is going to fall onto the road it drops lower & lower, even had to build our fence around the back of it.
