Glad that you are out there enjoying your new toy Dot. Those extra bippy noises can be a pain, but useful anyway. Hope you have lots of driving pleasure in it. xxxx
Today I took the wreath from the koln. I asked his nibs to hold it so I could take a pic, but It doesn't look as sparkly and pretty in the pic. Obviously it is very pretty and will look great on my screen door in December. I plan to attach it with some cable ties at the top and a big red bow on the bottom, to give extra colour and stability. I calculated that it cost me about $60 to make, so it wont be being offered for sale any time soon.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah that should come up very nicely for Xmas. Remember what the other half doesn't know won't hurt him and when he asks those famous words "when did you order this" ? you reply with "Oh come on I told you about that when I ran out of xyz" works a treat
Changed Bus insurance today from KT to Apia , saved $650 , excess for Apia was $750 and KT was $1000. Everything was the same as KT but the $$$$. When G rang to tell KT they asked "Why are you changing? G said " your costs are higher for the same benefits" With that they said "OK"
I planted a Boysenberry cane today, see how it gets on.
G did a bit more on the heater installation and now awaiting the pipe wrapping stuff. Hoping the weather stays reasonable cuz I want to head off for a bit of R&R again. The BOB are back tonight so I'm off to the shower then ready for the start. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thank you Dot, and yes, your advice is very much how I run with my expensive hobby. I will just tell him he bought it for my birthday. xxxx
Another lair day (how unusual). Kiln was set up to fire the blue blob and so far, it looks very pretty. Will do the vase thing with it, next week sometime. It's starting to get to medical appointment times again...PITA

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I am knackered tonight, think I did a bit too much out side, trimmed a few branches, then decided to do some weed spraying, and transplanted a few lavender plants, lets see how they get on.
the wisterias are bursting into flower and the perfume is beautiful. Had a look at the plants in buntings and how expensive are they? The days of the $2 tube plants have gone. Then I look at our old block full of marshmallow plants and geranium weeds etc , then the amount of $ that the new owner ripped out makes me sad. The shrubs he ripped out along the front are now selling for over $90 pr tree, yes I know it isn't my land but it still is sad to see it now. Has been a nice day again but it is cold out side now. Had a chat to HTFFBO this arvo, she is doing well. Bed time so Goodnight everyone x

They use those marshmallow plants and geranium weeds as salad nowadays, Dot. Well that's what salad tastes like now. Might be able to sell them to the vegans. Iceberg lettuce for me.

Dot, you had a good day outside in the fresh air. I would be knackered too by all that fresh air stuff too. xxxx
Kiln had a warm up, but that was all I did in the shed today. Mostly I packed the caravan ready to head up the road tomorrow. We decided to bite the bullet and go with our jayco mob to Stockton for the weekend. Will be interesting. Firstly because the park has lost over half of their sites due to erosion caused by the Easter high tides and huge seas, and our van is now on another site. Second interesting thing is that we have 22 vans booked in and in this state, there can be no group gatherings of more than 20 people. The park people told me today that they are monitored very closely and can't afford to be shut down again, so will make sure that we are obeying the rules. Interesting times.

Dot, believe that folk often don't realise what scrubs & plants actually are when they buy a property, just seem to want to clear the yard & start a new garden, it is sad to see a garden that you have nurtured & looked after destroyed. When we rented our old home the tenants removed several of the plants that I valued.
& when we sold the property I wanted to dig out a couple of camellias that Mum had given me, Bruce said, " You can't do that," new owner cleared everything.

Deb,
You’re driving all the way to Stockton!?
Gunna stop for an overnighter at Warners Bay?

Ray,
Deborah would have to take a detour to go to Warners Bay unless she went around the western side of the lake.
The good thing about Stockton CP, one can catch the ferry across to Newcastle, spend some time having a wander around & now they have the tram in operation on Hunter Street.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, it's sad to see your loved plants pulled out. Our son did the same when he bought his current home. Along came us with a trailer and relocated all his rose bushes and camellias at the lair. We love em, he is anti plant. So we failed somewhere there in his dragging up . xxxx
Shirley and Ray, you are both precious. We are in Stockton for our jayco club, so we are really here just to have some civil conversations and socialising that has been a lot difficult when stuck at the lair. Yes Ray, it took us an hour, so it was a very long trip.
Best part of the drive was over Kooragang Island bridge (I know it doesn't look right, so is probably waiting for Jon to come along and correct it), There are so many new coal loaders and different ships to gawk it, so it was interesting and different. Obviously the boats are a huge bit bigger than what we are used to seeing. The gps told us that the water we are next to is the Tasman Sea. I thought it was the Pacific Ocean. Doesn't matter what its name is, its blowing a gale out there tonight.
Happy to be warm in the van
