Come on NP, without political leanings one way or the other, what would people talk about? Religion

don't go there

We could always all start taking photos of our meals and sending them across the interweb to an anxiously waiting fan base to see what we are eating so they can be just like us ......
I guess Donald has introduced the US and possible the world to politics via social media, so when the next generation take over the virtual meetings and interweb policy making will be more the norm than "WTF" that was the response back in 2015/16.
I wonder if Russia will bother trying to interfere this time? They might save it for the next election, if there is one ......

There many things to talk about in life if you live it, and not just exist within the ideological bubble of fantasy land. I have interests in many subjects and am constantly learning more new things, otherwise life is like living on a merry go round inside a revolving door existence and that's not living, that's, barely existing in my eyes. When I talk to my friends, it's never about religion as they have the same understanding as I. We do talk about politics sometimes, but only in the context of how stuffed it is. Most of our discussions revolve around music, nature, lots of science and technology, health, lifestyle and diet.
Sure the current political situation worldwide is diabolical, but there is nothing we can do, we had our chances to change the way we the people approach politics decades ago and just about everyone has stuck to the status quo. The results of that are clearly evident and as there is not one sane political party or politician on the planet, nothing can or will change.
As for religion, it's always amazed me how anyone in this day and age with the knowledge we have, still believes in such a deranged, destructive ideological myth and are petrified to call it out for what it is. On the other hand, just about every human on the planet is ideologically controlled, so it's understandable they steer clear of the truth in all things relating to human life and psychology. Even if they don't really believe, they still refuse to challenge the never ending false misleading religious claims, with the available facts.
What really bugs me is the religious are allowed to say what they like and never get challenged for it, but when someone challenges them with the truth, everyone crawls into a hole and supports religion. That to me is extremely bizarre, especially when the religious have the right say things, like god bless you, or god save you and many other hypocritical lying claims, yet non believers are not allowed to say bullshit there is no god and never was.
Until the majority call out religion for what it really is we will continue down the drain to oblivion. I'm sick of the double standards forced upon us by the religious, if you want to continue in that vein, that's fine and understandable. If someone invokes the name of yahweh to me in a false and misleading way, why don't I have the right to invoke reality to them and remind them of the truth of their beliefs, and not their proven lies and pathetic attempts at deceit.
Thought I read that Russia, Iran and china have been caught out trying to manipulate the current US elections, which is no different to the yanks trying to influence other countries outcomes. May the force be with you
Terry I would love to be able to see a way out of the world political situation, but can't, can you
NP, I did say not to start on religion, I won't delete it for the moment but please refrain from doing it again. Talking about religion often leads to insults in whoevers eyes equal to insulting your parents and van get out of hand real quick. I've even coped offence when referring to the Great Spaghetti Monster, so not even that one is safe
