Re: Lock down
The people my heart goes out to are people who were planning on getting married in the next 6 weeks.
Having relatively recently been through the planning of my daughters wedding I shudder at her reaction if a few weeks out, all of a sudden, everything had to be postponed.
That would be nightmare stuff for a young couple.
A funeral cancelled? Sad, but not life-changing. It can always happen a few weeks later.
Some may know, I was born in Canada. During the winter, there are no funerals. The ground is frozen. It's just a fact of life. Your loved one dies in the winter? His or her funeral will be held next spring.

Re: Lock down
Is it still only a 6 day lockdown? No news where we are.
The BIL got out of SA last night via Broken Hill. His rental car bill is gunna be enormous. Spare a thought for all those from Melbourne, they were locked down for 100 + days. Better to be locked in the catching covid. None of us need it.

Just watched a fat bugger going for a swim after he watched the coppers doing their beach patrol No wonder this virus is so hard to stop, these selfish morons make me puke.

Re: Lock down
In some ways, that's why we went for the hard lock down.
No excuses to be out. It took courage to do it but we are now reaping the rewards. Funny how the nay-sayers have gone quiet.

Re: Lock down
It's ok Bruce, you can still play bowls when locked up. Just keep the curtains drawn.
Seriously, hang in there. It will go pretty fast. Find your daily rhythm and keep in touch with friends and family.
