Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

W J Thomas, who made the first telephone and call in Victoria. His first call was between houses in the Geelong district, but then he made calls between Geelong and Ballarat.

Hi David - was going through some old caravanning books prior to disposing and there was a brief mention of him in one travel section

The caravan books weren't circa 1877

HMmmmmmm,
Been a week since anyone posted a question.

Try this one:

Which town claims to have the first War Memorial built after WWI?

(My source is an info board in the town itself, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding counter-claims. :P )

Well, as no-one else has posted, try this question:

There are many Australian places named after places in the UK. There is a Mount Carmarthen in Wales.
Where would you find the Carmarthen Hills in Australia?

According to Mr Google, that is the original name given to the Blue mountains of NSW, but Governor Philip in 1788.
