I saw it when I was camped there but no one was plugged in and the place was packed. I thought Wayne might have put it there as he was the only local I knew.

It's a long story. Relates back to when Paddy Malone was the Mayor of Toc' and ran a campaign to become RV friendly.

He got across the line and became mayor in 2003. His opposition pestered him in the papers about making Toc' RV friendly. Frustrated and annoyed, he called the Town Engineeer into his office. Bill, Paddy said. "I don't care how you do it, but make Toc RV friendly."

He was really unsure what RV friendly meant and asked Paddy for some ideas.

Paddy, getting more frustrated said something like; "Billy, you're ta engineer,... just go and put some free power down at the beach." and so he did.

Yep, entirely plausible. Not so sure that there is any cable in the conduit though. :roll:
