Have a dometic 3 way fridge ?RM4605. Last time away initially not cold enough then too cold only used intermittently any one got any clues? It was running on 240v

Dot, we have a 3 way in our Winny. Only ever use it on 240 or gas. Have found that when travelling on country roads it will never stay cold because it isnt level enough. But its ok on the freeway. When parked up and level it works fine.
We have a digital remote temp display that monitors fridge and freezer temp, that helps with thermostat adjustment.
A compressor fridge is a better option.

If you use early 19th century technology in the 21st century, why would you expect it to work like a 21st century unit? If you want 21st century performance, you need to buy a 21st century technology fridge. They are a fraction of the price of the 3 way and 12v/24v fridge and work as you would expect a 21st century product to work .....

is this from the same experts that said lithium batteries would be a failure and explode and catch fire and cancel your future birthdays? The one in the Hino looks like it was used as a football at some stage because the person Brian bought it from didn't bother to bolt it down, so it fell over on a regular basis. Still works fine so it has lasted more than 10 yrs, the shelves inside certainly show all the signs of its rough life though ....

No not the same people, I was told by the tech man that came to sort out a problem with a freezer that the appliances of today are not like the old ones that lasted for decades, a throw away society. Take TV's for example. Have no idea about the battery nay sayers either.

Our clothes drier is close to 30 years old. It works every time. Which is great because we hardly ever use it.... probably 4 times a year.

He sort of twisted it a bit, they are so cheap you can buy a new one for about the same $$ as getting the tech to fix it these days. As far as the 12v fridge/freezer, even if you can find someone who can repair it, the cost is way more than the same size 240v fridge/freezer from Appliances on line .....
TV's are out of date so fast these days that perfectly good TV's end up in the recyling bin at Hardly Normal and the likes. There was a big screen TV (60"or 1.5mtr across the diagonal) in the bin at one of the retailers when we were dog chasing in Adelaide, the bloke in the warehouse said there was nothing wrong with it, the installers threw it in the bin after installing one of those new 100" super TV and the people asked them to get rid of the old one for them ......
