Yet Another Another Blonde

Post by Greynomad »

Blonde walked into an Auto Parts shop.

There is an alternate joke to that one:

A woman walks into a bar,

"What are you after" asks the barman

A new dipstick, the last one left me for a blonde .......

The really funny bit about that, this was the fix for high oil consumption on quite a few different heavy vehicle diesel engines. A longer dipstick meant the full mark was lower in the oil pan and this stopped the oil splash problem where the cycles were being flooded with oil and the rings could not scrape it all off each cycle. The high oil consumption settled down within a few weeks and no more complaints to the service dept

I think that was the problem with the early Austin 1800s. those that cared for their car had the engine blow but those that couldn't care less about the oil level didn't have a problem. They found that the dipsticks had the full mark too high up the dipstick.
