Dot's pussies are all lined up waiting their turn in the kiln.
It has been a busy lair day. We had inherited a couple of antique rocking chairs that are very well loved. His mother had recovered them with orange and browny stripe fabric , back in the 1960's and that is how they looked when we got them in the early 2000's. They fit into our decor, sort of. Anyway roll on to today when one of the chairs is really showing it's age with the seat cushion letting some of the stuffing out through worn patches in the fabric. Not a good look at all. The weirdest thing here is that I was fishing around in my sewing junk last week and found that we had the offcuts of fabric from when his Mum did the original covering. This fabric is right in fashion today. We have so far stripped much of the fabric cover off the seat cushion section and have replaced the seat covering and amazingly, it almost matches the rest of the chair. The job is huge, but I reckon it will be finished tomorrow. We will be using almost every inch of the left over fabric to overhaul the chairs and most of the worn areas will be protected for another thirty years. Never a dull moment in this lair.
sweet dreams out there xxx
