Hi Lesley. Was wondering how the house repairs were going or not. With the shortage of trades ( even heard that draw runners are getting hard to get) it could be a drawn out job. (just about a pun there without trying) Pick up Faye tomorrow for the weekend after her first week of five of ray treatment. They have started resealing the freeway near the tunnel so it could be a bit of a painful trip. Hot here today so inside house cleaning before the boss gets home.
Cheers John

Hi John, The building company that scored the job is at the Sunshine Coast so they have trades local to here by the look of things. Chippies arrived promptly at 7.30 and also plumbers here now. Hopefully it continues to be this organised.Riverlander wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 8:54 am Hi Lesley. Was wondering how the house repairs were going or not. Please give Faye a big hug from us. We think of you both often and really hope her treatment goes well and does the trick. Would love to get back to SA to see you all sometime this year.
Helen, enjoy your adventures in the west.

Good morning all. At last Lesley but I guess you have no idea how long it is going to take. John yes give Faye a hug and best wishes from us as well- oh hug to you also. Have to try to get a van site at the GC for at least 17th April , last weekend of holidays. Eldest grandchild is 21 on 20, at uni there as well as working full time at Nothcliffe surf Club which is where they are having a party. Going to try the Broadwater park first. David any other suggestions please?

Kay, if you can't get in at Broadwater, there are a few others. Most of those on the water are council owned. Main Beach tourist park, just a bit south of Broadwater has a pretty good name. So has Treasure Island tourist park near the Harbour Town shopping centre. If all else fails, we have a pretty wide nature strip out the front. Let me know how you go.
Cheers

I know some people who could help you out as far as the solar and battery problems go, and in the between times the alternator would step up to the role of powering the split system air con while driving, via the batteries and inverter .... plug into mains while parked up till the solar is up to the job.supersparky wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 7:56 pm T1, We haven't got enough solar to power much yet, let alone a dual head splitty. I think I have convinced the minister of war and finance that we need a big increase in solar and a new fridge. The airco failing hasn't helped.
Ron, thanks for trying anyway.
I think that with a little help from JonD I might be onto a new compressor.![]()

Good morning everyone, the forum is as slow as watching paint dry here...taken me a while to access the page, not happening on other forums??
Girly car now has a shiny new tow bar...and now has comfy sheep skin seat covers....still haven't told the boss the price
About the only thing going on up here is the lack of rain...BUT, black Cockatoo's are back in the area.
Bernie.

Morning all from sunny Armidale NSW, I'm staying on a MSO owned by Graham & Lola Beaton. Owners of the pink coffee wagon that comes to the northern rallies. Off to Glen Innes today for the annual show, Grahams daughters are riding horses there.
