There's an interesting topic in this month's (issue 20) iMotorhome.com re free camping.

"The Caravan Park Associations do not think outside their circle...." Which translates in some cases to sour grapes due to poor businessman-ship and

"Most freedom campers would not be customers of the caravan parks, anyway.",

but if an area is hospitable then the same word of mouth brings all styles of traveller with inevitable spills over to the caravan park. Win win for everybody because there are lots of ingredients that make up a cake - it's not all frosting, but the mix makes a delicious treat for everybody.
