Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Give Faye a ‘long distance hug’ from us.
Hi. Bit limited on the places to hug. After three ops. most places above the waist hurts and a significant area below is taboo but I will do my best.
Cheers John
Been a bit crook last couple of days so bed has been my mate. Faye is a trooper and will bounce back very fast Hugs from us as well xx Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Toolman x

Loaded up the truck as expected. That was a good jigsaw puzzle. Did a bit of mending and sewed up a cushion cover for my car seat. That was another thing that just had to be done. The original cover that I made ages ago, was blue because that was the only suitable fabric in the cupboard at the time. The patrol has black upholstery and the blue looked crappy. Today, it is now an improved black and does look a lot better.
Seems the sorting and packing is never ending...but we are hoping to leave home on Tuesday, so the end is nigh.
John. Great to hear Faye is handling the treatment best to you both.
Dot just get well mate bed is no place to spend your life, fine for a short time and a good time, cheers
To all in SA on this long weekend take care and safe driving.
Heading to Myponga to day to listen to the daughter singing at the local brewery. She has teamed up with her old singing mate from Darwin and doing a few gigs around the traps. Chance to see the grandkids this week as well.
Good day today, got some gardening done or should I say G did some (under instruction) Possum is coming each night for the apple & carrot that I place in a bowl next to the nice possum house we made Watched a doco on hitler and how they 100% proved he was the one that was burnt before the alies got him. Interestingly enough the SS that set fire to him and the missus didn;t have enough petrol so not all of him burnt. His jaw bone bone and some teeth was taken by the russians and has been tucked away for many yrs. Approval was given for the jaw/teeth to be put through the carbon dating tests and even seeing he was a vegetarian they could tell from the ?plaque stuff still on the teeth that there was no meat traces so there you have it the verdict is in Hitler died as we have been told. End of history lesson. So now time to say goodnight everyone x Goodnight Grandad x

Dot, the garden supervision is challenging hey? Feeding possum outside is a good way to keep it out of your roof, good idea. xxxx
We have been listening to an osteopath when we are in the car, he seems to know when we are driving around! Many weeks ago, we heard him sprouting on about green lipped mussels and how they improve the health of many old farts with arthritis. I made a mental note to buy some green lipped mussels, when I see them next and then totally forgot about it. We were driving on Friday, (that's his timeslot) and a little old lady rang. She wanted to thank him for the advice about the mussels. She is on the waiting list to have 2 hip replacements and has been unable to walk. Since starting on these capsules, 6 weeks ago, her mobility has increased and she is not in as much pain. I did venture to the chemist and buy a bottle of them. Nothing to lose, it's only money. He did emphasise that the best results only come after 6-8 weeks of consistently taking them.
So what sort of inhuman health departments do we have, when little old ladies are left waiting for years to get hips replaced? What quality of life does anyone expect in their older years? So much for the spiel that the gov wants us to age gracefully in our own homes and not be a burden on the system. Obviously the plan is to let us all rot in our homes and shuffle off to the beyond asap. You guessed it, I plan to age as disgracefully as I can and if I need health care watch out if it doesn't happen in a timely manner.
Deborah, the waiting list for hip/knee replacements & many other procedures is why one needs to be in a health fund even though with many procedures not covered it is still ridiculously expensive.
Deborah, Erich has arthritis in his wrists. Since being told about Green Lipped Mussels capsules mid last year, he has been taking two capsules per day with lunch and has been pain free ever since. Henry Blooms is the brand recommended and is sold by Chemist Warehouse for $22.99 for 120 caps. I had to search for them amongst all the vitamin shelves and they were right on the bottom.
A word of caution though. A friend who is also taking them advised that they are regarded as a blood thinner, so everyone should check with their doctor if they take blood thinners or even aspirin.
I have been taking those tablets since told about them at Christmas and unfortunately I have had to go back to wearing my wrist/thumb guard as have not had pain like this 2014. Going to finish as not wasting money but going back to my Krill & Tumeric caps- got to get back into my system again . All of these type tablets are blood thinners- had to stop both before knee and shoulder surgery.
