It's been well over 2 decades that the bolt has been in use, I inspect it regularly and it has never worn or bent, have to change the plastic every now and then and grease the plastic so it will go into the holes easier. It's on my cruiser and is the same one that was on my previous 60's cruiser, I removed the goose neck bolt from that car when I sold it and put in the new one as the pin in the new cruiser I bought was very worn. Was told by registration engineers that it fits the standard being high tensile and far stronger than the soft metal pins everyone uses.

My bus has a welded towbar, which did myself, along with many other things, including seats. When I took it to be tested and passed as a campervan, they commented on the welded towbar, saying it was good to see someone who went the extra yards to makes sure the trailer stayed attached and it has for almost 2 decades pulling a large dual axle ex furniture removal trailer.
