Fuel economy.

Post by Chuck »

I thought I had put a post on here somewhere regarding fuel economy & how happy I was that our 200 series Landcruiser was returning in the vicinity of 8L/100Klm. :?

I would be bloody delighted if it was in fact doing that - but it's not. Just filled up today - 2 months since the last one - & it took 124L for a distance travelled of 966 klm - minus the van.

That works out to 12.84L/100Klm. Now that's a bit more realistic.

You must have been taking it easy to achieve those figures.

Which ones George...

The 8L/100Klm - I was definitely dreaming at the time.

The 12.84L/100Klm was just local driving.

Yes, I probably do tend to take it easy these days... both from the $$$ perspective & 'the older I get the slower my reactions will probably get'. :D

*EDIT* I've just realised where I went wrong with the first reading... the 8L/100Klm should have read 8Klm/L... not that I use this method... prefer the L/100Klm.
