Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Yes Bob been raining all night...morning everyone.
Looks like another day of inside activity's with the girls.
Rain tapering off at the mo. Been good for the tanks, and the farmers will be happy.

Good morning everyone. Good to see that rain falling over a big area, even at elsewhere.
I managed to get one garden bed done between the showers yesty. Only have two to go now. Might take a while.
Enjoy your time with the girls Bernie. They won't be kids forever.
How's the arm, shoulder feeling RnB?
George, I hope the wedding all goes well.
Safe travels everybody, have a good weekend.

Edit. 11mm in the rain gauge at 9.00

Morning all another rainy day just wish it wasn’t so cold but life in the excitement of Adelaide.

Dave elbow as good as can be swelling and bruising going but the whole arm is still tender and sore.

Booked in yesterday to get our jabs and the local doctor was a six week wait so contacted the clinic which is also doing it and booked in for next Wednesday. The government is pushing to get us to have the jab but six weeks to wait is a bit long.

Nothing else planned so have fun folks and take care cheers Robert

"tanks" here---
19c outside with steady continuous rain falling for the past 24 hours with some heavy falls during the night.
Ray; put your shorts back in the cupboard and get your wet weather gear out. It is now July and may be a good time to head back to Vic before the idiots shut all the gates again.
Keith.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good morning- 25ml 24 hours. Horrible day here. Second cataract yesterday and boy was it sore last night, much worse than first but this morning ok. 19 drops a day between the two eyes.We still in lockdown.

T1 Terry wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 10:38 am Nate Burns the ABC weatherman said it was dry up through the centre, only raining on the east and west coast .... as I looked out the front window at the rain pouring down
It's normally warm around these parts when it rains but even that has failed ... could still be the effects of the haircut though
We have had a work experience lad in for the week, one tends to forget about the huge gap between what we did as kids at any chance of working in a trade we were interested in and the kids of today .... but he at least listens and follows instructions so a step above a few work experience kids I had when I was in the mechanical workshop in Wollongong.

He still hasn't arrived, but it is raining after all

T1 Terry
So did he roll up ...??? :(

Helpin with the beast I hope... :P

vik...
Only after Margaret rang him ..... apparently he had chores to do and he hurt himself at field ballet practice the evening before .... that he had to knock off early to attend

We aren't allowed to send him up on the roof of the Avida it seems, just in case he falls off, and the fact it's about as stable as a plank of wood onto of a gym ball so it had him on all 4's when I got him up there the first time .... he didn't look like he was enjoying it very much

Found the cause of the problem. The centre front frame mount broke at the bend of the 1.6mm aluminium angle, that caused the right hand corner mount to break through the bolt hole and the whole right hand side of the frame flexing up and down finally broke the welds .... that weren't real flash after closer inspection  but at least they broke through the centre of the welds leaving weld material on both pieces so it wasn't poor penetration that caused the welds to fail.
Replaced the mounts with 3mm aluminium sheet folded to suit and added another 2 mounts across the front to improve the attachment strength to the vehicle. The ones across the front are really only to stop the frame bouncing up and down because there is nothing of any structural strength in an Avida roof to actually hold it down, so lots of surface area and Armourflex between every mating face ...... I hope I'm not the next person who has to get it back off

T1 Terry

EDIT:
The roof and the radio aerial aren't the only things the cockies chewed up there, wiring and the sealant stuff Avida use to seal between the front fibreglass bit and the rubber roof have been attacked as well, so I'll fix that while I'm up there
