Our new trip

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Guess what! another $1400 for a new clutch in the am. I guess it has done over 200,000 & probably 70% of that with the van behind. Bruce reckons it felt not right yesterday & much prefer to replace here with a mechanic who always does the right thing by us, than half way across the Victoria Desert with all other vehicles that other 4WD

Ah well... its only $$$.

That's definitely a good run out of the old clutch & shows what good drivers you two are.

My 88 swb Patrol did 368K kays on the original clutch - so we must have had the same teachers - then another 120K kays before trading it it.

They certainly made 'em good in those days.

That's not too bad to last that long I guess.
I continually see fishermen pulling their 25ft 3 tonne boats up the boatramp in high range slipping the clutch to get going.
Why oh why don't they use low range & drop the clutch and crawl out effortlessly??
Gee it's slippery stuff this money!!!  :x

What next  Nothing major but annoying. 12volt charger for Bruce's mobile has now died. In Kingaroy to maybe find somewhere to buy another - can manage with the 240 otherwise.

Gotta get em dirty so they look used, at least it's not raining there by the look of it. All the hassles behind you now, a long safe trip ahead :D

Weather here at daughter's at Bellata just beautiful. Into town in the am to get our annual flu shots- had not arrived at home before we left, which was the same as last year. BBA will probably give the vehicles a quick wash- they really look much (worse?) than in photos. Geez I hate this daylight saving but thankfully it is nearly finished.
