Finally got the bus on the road after 6 years parked up beside my parents home.
They have both passed away and now it's time to wind up the affairs, so we needed to move out to sell the house.
So a short video of the bus on the move.. https://youtu.be/unKV5EUub4k
Only travelled from Seaford to Aldinga, but she went so much better than the last drive, really pleased with it.
Cheers,
Bernie

Re: 1st move after 6 years parked up
Thanx David,
well, no money for much till the house sells, but then comes the solar (I have 3Kw of panels ready) and of course the batteries.
Of course, Mrs Gringo also wants some new stuff inside, Kitchen replaced mainly.
In the meantime I do have some other smaller jobs to complete as well.
When we are done... No idea where we will end up, so many variables these days, but really the where won't matter too much, it's just the doing that counts I reckon...
I did just finish a new instrument panel, some further work on the cupboards beside it to go though.
Pretty happy with that too.

Well, that looks like one of the more interesting rigs I've seen of late.
Can we have some more pics of the interior and info please.
I'm a natural-born sticky beak ya see.

Re: 1st move after 6 years parked up
Thanx for the kind words, it turned into much more of a project than originally intended, but we're happy with the results so far.
The biggest improvement in the driving experience is the steering.
I didn't realise just how little power assistance there was, but with the new setup it is so nice to drive - quite amazing really.
The new radial tyres must help a lot too i guess.
It's a pretty rare bus, at a guess, less than 30 ever made it here from Japan.
I am not aware of any still registered.
Straight 6 naturally aspirated diesel just under 12Lt, 5 speed crash box, done well over 1,000,000ks
for more details it's probably easier for you to check out my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dstinationunknown/
I have gone right back to the beginning and shown all the work we have done to it so far.
I also have a lot of pics on https://postimg.cc/files - look for dstinationunknownbus@gmail.com
