Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Keith,

Everyone will have their favorites. Your local water and milk will affect the taste.

I use a plunger and ground beans. Cheap, easy and quick.
The coffee grind has something to do with it too. Coarse gives a very light flavour. Fine gives a bulkier richer flavour.

The coffee I keep on coming back to is Global Cafe Direct. https://www.coffex.com.au/collections/g ... afe-direct (the "original" fawn coloured packet).

Good luck.

We started with a 10 cup percolator, ground the coffee because the flavour was stronger than grinding them at the shop ..... I drink a lot of coffee ..... it finally had a hissy fit with the thermostat and just continued to boil the water back up through the grinds ..... I thought the coffee was excellent but others seemed to suffer the  look for hrs after a single cup .....
We went to a pod machine, Aldi first, the coffee tasted terrible and luke warm, added a milk frother and took out the wire ring thing that made a mess and poured the coffee along with the milk, out of the cup and into the frother .... worked well but no crema for that strong hit with the first mouthful
Next was a Woolies machine, didn't do a bad job, the coffee certainly tasted better, but after the 3rd machine failing, we went back to the Aldi machine because they had improved both the machine and the coffee capsules. We have one at home, one at the workshop and one in the motorhome .... I still drink a lot of coffee.

Every so often Margaret will make a percolated coffee in a "Moca-pot" when we are camped up some where ..... certainly worth the trouble if you only have one or two cups a day .......

Plunger coffee, tried it quite a few times, grind the coffee fine enough to get the taste right and the bottom half of the cup is mud ...... not a great way to finish a cuppa

Today started out looking like a great day, no wind, warm and blue skies ....... that all changed, raining, quite hard at times, wind and cold ...... What great day to be in tin roof shed .....
