Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, the fruit bats would be loving that tree if it was around here. There is a colony of them not too far away in a park. The plate looks lovely in the pic.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
"tanks" here---Deborah,
Time to put the water sprinkler on the mango tree at a slow trickle for a good soaking to the root zone twice a week.
All of the growers up this way are looking forward for an early crop and have been watering for the past several weeks.
My back yard tree is bearing a mass of flower and lots of little babies just waiting to grow into eating size fruit.
I expect to be picking around late November or early December.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Nice plate, Deb!
You’ll have to try duplicating it for your sales stock.

It will give you more practice with your new kiln.
… if you need it.

Deborah that plate is just stunning. Do more of them. Mangoes don't tempt me at all but my boysenberry looks like it will be a good crop, 1st year at that.
Bus is home and happy with her new alternator so with 2 new batteries and new alternator and 2 new belts we are ready to roll sometime. He didn't charge us for the belts either.
Q/ Why is the PM promising to open borders for Xmas when we are getting more cases daily? The 25th Dec is just another day You can't go to see your rellie dying but you can travel interstate for $%^&*. NOT happy Jan. Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Toolman x
PS. I had a friend ask if I knew of anyone that had a house sit or a rental in Geraldton WA, she is a nurse and has been summoned there for work, she needs a pet friendly place.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, thanks for the recall notice for jaycos. Luckily not us. It applies to the off road models and as we have had the compliance plate changed anyway, I think we are totally safe. Your consternation with this covid crap is understandable. If you don't have symptoms in the most infectious time, how do people have a chance of being safe around others? I am hearing you loud and clear. xxxx
Thanks for the water advice Keith. I will see to that in the morning. This mango tree seems to be a very late cropper, late January to early February, but it's worth the extra water that is for sure.
I'm glad the plate got your seals of approval. Thanks for that, and yes I will have a few tries at replicating it now that I have worked out what I did, the rights and wrongs are all included. Today the start of another platter, looks good. Another bowl was bending on the shelf below, but it's a bit fragile. Tonight it is heating up with some extra bits of supporting glass to be melted into the framework.
No big winds today, for us that was great, but for the midweek twilight yacht racers it was a bit slow. They only race in daylight savings time, so today was the start of their season. Lovely and graceful to watch, but not for me. Done my apprenticeship on yacht racing while growing up. never again.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Have fun with the fang farriers Dot. Hope you can get that bus out of the yard soon xxxx
Had to visit a skin spec today. Now I have a couple of big frozen spots on my face. She was going to lop one mark off, but decided to try freezing first. She gave the marks a long blast and waited for those to dry and then gave each spot another long blast. That hurt. She was making sure that if freezing is the way to go, then it will work or else!
According to some, we have been put back to being part of Sydney, so even when the doors are open, we wont be allowed to go into any regional areas. Just Sydney...I can't repeat what I said when I was told that. I know our kids are in Sydney, but we don't want to travel into their filthy areas. Been looking forward to escaping properly...might never happen. Who knows what this weird gov will do next?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Fang farrier as usual was very polite and saying " I am so sorry Dot but your problems are unable to be treated" So she checked them all out and did a bit of a trim up of denture as gums have shrunk since I last saw her 8 mths ago. See her in 6 mths or sooner if I have any troubles. In hind sight I should of got the whole lot out before the 1st op 4 years ago
On the way home stopped into Aldi for a few things but left a few things after reading from where it came from. .Rang the car dealer to book in for the first service (the car actually flashed a sign up to say service due) rang and the best time was Nov 3rd
. Tomorrow is bus clean and the motor as well ready to high tail it somewhere if we can even for a few days. Have my tongue man check up on Monday. Shower time so goodnight everyone x

Dot, the fang farrier and the tongue man visits will be finished and you can be off into the wild blue yonder again soon. Watch out for the nearest gravel pit
xxxx
Kiln was only a 50% pass today. One platter now ready to be bent soon and the other bit, still not happy with. It may have another remake tomorrow. In slow gear today, so not a lot done at all.
