Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Morning everyone.
We got the edge of one as well Bob...including the black-out, just as Carol was cooking.
Will check later to see how little rain we had.
Cut some more wood with some luck I should have the heap all cut by the weekend
Not much else happening....Carol has finished the table she is restoring...

Morning from hot and humid Darwin, 27c here 6:30pm with the high in the 30’s. Find out today when the auto electrician can check the ute out then another bloke to go over the van. May need to go to more solar to keep the batteries topped up.
Had a good Chinese meal at the Noonamah pub last night, first one I had in years. Down to Dinah beach tonight to catch up with friends and the badge draw. Not much chance with the draw as the membership is a few thousand now and I am member number 03.
Not much else happening as it is just too hot, take care Robert
Outside England 's Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years, its parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant....The fees for cars (£1.40), for buses (about £7) .
Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn't show up; so the zoo management called the city council and asked it to send them another parking agent .
The council did some research and replied that the parking lot was the zoo's own responsibility.
The zoo advised the council that the attendant was a city employee.
The city council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the city payroll.
Meanwhile, sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain, or France, or Italy, is a man who'd apparently had a ticket booth installed completely on his own and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about £560 per day -- for 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over £7 million ......and no one even knows his name.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

An oldie but a goodie Couldn't get away with it these days, most payments are electronic.
Had some great news yesterday, the assessor who deemed my silver Prius a Statutory Write off and offered $6,500, after being challenged has now offered roughly $9,000, $7,500 and the vehicle returned to me and no longer a statutory write off. My prius arrived on a tilt tray yesterday afternoon, the tow also paid for by the insurance .... it really does pay to research the facts when an assessor makes an offer and challenge with that list of facts if your findings don't agree with their offer
