Re: Good morning daily
It's daylight saving that's the problem. What do they expect. With an extra hour of daylight it has got to warm the earth up.

Re: Good morning daily
There have always been floods, big ones were called 100 yr floods, the 100 yrs seem to pass a lot faster than in the past though ..... https://e360.yale.edu/digest/100-year-f ... tudy-findsBruceS wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 1:03 pm Climate change is nothing more than a brain washing exercise by over educated boffins.
There have been flood, heatwaves, cyclones & all the rest since long before records were ever kept.
Only takes a bit of research to find out. Nope, we'll believe to doom sayers ............
S***t let's go top ourselves before we all suffer..............
There have been heat waves before, but when they start to adjust the record heat levels yr on yr you start to wonder .... then with a bit of research you find stuff like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperatu ... ,000_years
It wasn't long ago that these thing could be ignore as "Not happening in my life time", but we are living longer now than in the past so I won't be putting too much faith in dropping off the perch before the effects really start to bite ....... then of course there is every chance what was ignore previously could actually start knock people off the perch, and we'll be the old buggers that feel the effects well before the younger generation.
I just hope the world hasn't left it too late before taking action and the thermal run away actually gets into full swing. We will probably end up with a water front property and have to develop roads up behind our house, shopping in town might be a bit of an issue though. Luckily you have a boat, you can just tie up to higher land, although the sewerage works might make the water a tad unpleasant when it goes under water

Re: Good morning daily
Lake Eyre is & always was below sea level already!
Modern Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre is a salt-encrusted, mostly dry and barren playa that occupies Australia's lowest natural point, which is 15 meters (49 feet) below sea level.
In the 90's we all got told that the sea level was going to be 20' higher by the year 2005.
They even published a map showing Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong and many more places where the land was going to be under water.
I'm still waiting ...........

Re: Good morning daily
Ummmm ..... Lake Eyrie is 15 mtrs below the current sea level. That sea level has been much lower during the Ice Ages but when that melted, the sea levels increased to a little below where they are today. If the rest of the ice melts they will be higher than they are today, this might help to understand the rate the ice is melting https://sealevel.nasa.gov/ and this https://ocean.si.edu/through-time/ancie ... level-rise worth a read. These are not crackpot extremists, these people report what they see .... and it's alarming ....

Re: Good morning daily
Riverlander is right.
Climate change is caused by daylight saving… so all we have to do to rescue the situation is turn the clocks back about 25 hours and the global temperature will drop!
Simples!
