Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

What a motley crew we are, probably couldn't get one healthy person out of us all. Do we need a special section "Sad & Sickies" :?: Hard to keep up with us all these days. Everyone that is feeling like a big bag of crap and recovering from all sorts of ailments keep positive and take it easy. :) :)

Terrible news Terry, hope you recover quickly, think I had better get a shingles jab, Bruce had it earlier this year.

Getting older is certainly better than the alternative & guess getting the age pension is a bonus even with shingles.

I hadn't heard of a shingles vaccine shot either, otherwise I would have rolled the sleeve up straight away.
Not being allowed to touch the affected area (Margaret rules) is annoying enough, along with all the hand washing, it's the absolute exhaustion that really p*sses me off. I only had a very narrow time frame to get into my projects before the work returned full force .... and now it's going to be spent sleeping and watching daytime TV .... just like being in covid lockdown  I guess it was going to catch up with me some time eh

Terry,

I had shingles in my early 30's. The antiviral tablets knock you out. I was exhausted and basically slept for a week and a bit.
The only comfort/relief I got from the affect area was a stinking hot wet compress/towel held on the area.

Wishing you well.

Terry, have you recently had the covid jab? Julie knows of someone who has developed shingles following the jab and apparently one of the jabs can reignite chickenpox/ shingles.

More likely the stress from the crapping lots of blood and the anal camera probing combined with the stress regarding the insurance B/S SGIQ/NRMA put me through .... I guess if people got really stressed about having the jab, it could bring it on, but only if the person had once had chickenpox.
If it were the jab that caused it, the first one would have triggered it or at least closer to the second jab,
not a mth later ....
About the the only thing the jab creates is mass hysteria and conspiracy theories ...... it's that 5G ya 'ave to look out for .... and the shortage of tinfoil because everyone is making hats ......

 or should it be ;) because it's the right side of the face and eye affected after all  Just to touch it with a damp warm flannel is is an unpleasant experience yet required to unglue the eye each morning .... I don't even want to think about trying a hot flannel after trying a cold flannel once .... talk about all the nerve ending being open on the outside instead of under the skin ......

Glad to hear it's the antivirals that are making me sleepy ...... Margaret suggested they could be bed sores .... she can show a wicked and nasty sense of humour sometimes

Dottie,
If we started a “Sad & Sickies” page, we’d ALL be there & nowhere else!
