Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Men’s Shed day today.
At 11:00 all machinery was switched off & everybody filed out the door for a minute’s silence.
Then it was back to business.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

NSW most well known. Bingara Free Camp on the Common has been flooded again last night.
And again some caravans & cars been swept away by the fast rising Gwydir River. The couple were asleep when they awoke to being swept down the river, they got out through a caravan window, lost everything but luckily not their lives. HTFFBO is out of the flood zones. Her new name is "Boots" she will explain when she ever returns. Did an op shop stop and scored a nice top 1/2 price $2 &.brand new at that 8-) Time for bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D Goodnight Mr Major x :D How is your recovery going woof woof?

Dot, good to see you haven't lost your op shop touch xxxx

Shirley, you were lucky to get a game in. we had enough drizzly stuff in the morning to stop us gardening. Where do you play bowls ?

This bad weather threat seems to have passed us by , so far. Lots of our emergency workers have headed up to Tamworth and beyond, where they are having lots of emergencies. Fingers crossed that it stays away. We are getting rain, but not any great dangerous stuff, just inconvenience stuff. Our water tanks are all full, so it can stop now.
The platter in the kiln looked really good, so it went straight back in to be shaped into a platter tonight.
The rest of the day was slow.

"tanks" mhere---
It is just past midnight and the rain/storm has been going on for hours with very heavy rain and strong winds. Major has just ad a look out back and a quick pee then charged back inside ready for bed.
That is where I am off to and enjoy the rain on the roof as I drift off to sleep.
Full report in the morning post as to the rain gauge reading.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Deborah, I play bowls at Gwandalan, the club is on waterfront reserve, we look across the lake to Nords Wharf, very relaxing location, it's been great catching up with bowling members after the long lockdown. Yesterday we had a few fine spots of rain on the 19/20th ends then a few heavy spots on 21st end, we were inside about 10 mins., & down came a heavy shower we were very lucky to get all our games finished.

Showing my age...
I remember when Gwandalan was a brand new development being proposed at the southern end of Lake Macquarie.
People were asking, "Why would anyone want to live all the way down there?" :?
Times change. :P

(People were constantly mispronouncing it with a 'd' at the end, much to the frustration of the developers.) :D
Regards & God bless,

Ray, a new housing estate is being developed at Crangan Bay on Kanangra Drive the road into Summerland Point & Gwandalan, think about 400 new blocks, so many people moving up here from Sydney, real estate has gone crazy in the area unbelievable sales.
Moonie Beach over at Catherine Hill Bay, had a housing estate developed a few years ago, Catho itself hasn't changed, still all the original mining houses renovated & the pub is still going strong.
