Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone and hoping you all had a family day yesterday. Bruce got his final clearance 5.45pm Christmas eve but nothing for me. On phone again and this time with a Q health employee working from home in same situation as me. He husband cleared and she still waiting. We had a good chat and laugh about her hubby crowing that he was negative & she was probably positive. I suggested no pressys for him and she said none anyway as been in quarantine! asked her what time she could finish work and she said that they do not know, day by day, how long they are going to work once they start. Anyway I was out of jail at 6.45, quick shower etc etc and to daughters by 8.30 for brekky but home again as girls going to their father and sally to her partner's family.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Re: Good morning daily
I guess that most people had Christmas leftovers for breakfast today.
For us it was poached eggs with smoked trout on English muffins.
Yummy!
Back to the grind today… garden watering, raking gum leaves off the grass, washing to hang out… you know the drill.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all a very quite Christmas here and a boxing day test yesterday and left overs.
Have a friend staying with us who is down from the Territory looking after her mother having a hip replacement. Told could not re enter the NT unless she had both vaccinations. Managed to get her in to Noarlunga clinic for her second yesterday so they are hoping to fly home next Sunday. Been a long trip for them and should have been home two weeks ago but stupid rules and a nurse testing positive does not help.
Heading into mid 30’s this week so feet up AC on and the test. Take care cheers Robert.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone, its a bit cool and windy up here on the lake. It's pack up day for us. We are heading to the daughters place in Melbourne tomorrow. We had planned on visiting other family while down there, but they are all close contact of g/son's covid pos girlfriend.
Safe travels everybody, have a lovely day.

Re: Good morning daily
Back home from the Nurang ferry campground, basically the narrows where Lake Albert joins Lake Alexandrina where the Murray River ends. Met up with Dottie and George to spend Christmas away from home and away from possible virus spreader events.
The wind kept it cool to cold from Christmas eve till we gave up around 6pm Boxing day and headed home. The wind was so strong they regularly closed the ferry, naturally, when we decided to return home. So the long trip via Meningie to get back to Tailem Bend and then on to Mannum. At least the wind kept the mozzies away.
At least the wind isn't as savage today, but the river has been blown upstream so the water is really up at the moment. Many of the private jetties are under water, last night it was lapping the bottom of Mannum River Walk jetty, the bell weather test of just how high the water is, when the close the jetty the water is that high many of the river edge areas normally grassed picnic areas become swimming pools or total bog areas ...... just what you need when the place is packed with campers
Hope everyone is bracing for the New Yrs celebrations, it will be a non event if the wind doesn't settle down here in Mannum ....

Good morning.
Not a lot went on yesterday...did manage to get the wiring done in the "winny" so that's a plus
All the furniture is now back where it belongs after the xmas shuffling
A cuppla showers through the day nothing in them...just a pain in the but when working outside.
Already warm...so temp will be up again.
When do you get back across the boarder Bob
Bernie.
