Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Good morning all our fellow forumites, and Happy New Year to all. We hope that this year is better than the last few, for anumber of reasons.
I'm a bit late checking in as I misplaced my phone overnight, had to wait for the 10.30 alarm so I could find it.
It is already hot and dry in Mulwala and will be a swimming, then a pub day. Safe travels to all those out and about.
Cheers

Yes it's a new life & a new year so here's hoping .....
Pity the female that fell of the houseboat over night at Swan Reach. I don't think they've found her yet.
I wonder if it was one too many & a midnight celebration swim went wrong?
Good arvo everyone. As expected to start this new year off, Covid & cousins having a great time bonking away, Betty White died, and so the usual shite goes on. Stay as safe and as sane as you can.

Happy New yr one and all. Spent yesterday replacing one of the old rattan/compressed paper blade ceiling fan with a bigger sweep DC fan with remote, silence is golden when it comes to ceiling fans
Had the old fan removed and the new fan up and running by 4pm yesterday, took me just as long today to get the fancy wiring cover thingy that tidies up the look where it all meets the ceiling. Gotta be harder than trying to get the package back in the box it came out of, 5 times on and back out with the fan trying different ways to route the wiring that plugs into the control box before I could get the cover up close enough to get the screws to hold ...... why do these things not have standard diameter cover plates? Seems every time I change any ceiling fitting, there is a band of the old paint showing around the edges of the new install .... even tried the white marker pen to colour in the dirty bit .... within an hr the marker pen had soaked into the plaster and the dirty marks are back ...... can't win 'em all, but I plan to have a steak in a glass to celebrate that it actually works and I didn't electrocute myself

Good morning all. Our ceiling fans need replacing but are the newer ones do a better job? Wouldn't mind a portable evap cooler to use in the bedroom though, any suggestions? plenty on marketplace but which one ?

Good morning everyone. Another hot day coming up. Did nothing yesty except try to stay cool and not go near anyone. It's too crowded here now, must be getting close to time for us to go home. Have a top day everybody, safe travels.
Dot, the new fans are a lot better, most are a bigger diameter and have LED lights instead of globes ( if you want lights fitted). Not quite sure that I would put an evap cooler in the bedroom though. Why not get a good split system fitted?
Good morning Bernie, what's the weather like in sunny Qld?
