Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Same same.
When Girt finds a new home we plan to downsize, but stay with a motorhome.
At one stage we looked at the pull-along box option, but decided to reject it for the same reason we rejected the fiver option when we bought Girt.
Towing a car/trailer combo is work enough. Don’t want to be person-handling* anything heavier than the empty Tilta.
Couldn’t, anyway.

We just happen to have a Mazda 3500 diesel, 10 sp gearbox to keep the mind active, solar and lithium batteries and 3000/9000w inverter/charger, inside recently refitted out .... just thought I'd mention it

And under the 4.5 tonne? No annual checks etc.
Does anyone know how hard it is to get the Gross Vehicle weight dropped to 4.499?
There is a vehicle that comes in the EXACT same configuration (EXACT) that is sold in either under 4.5 or 6.2 gross.
Surely it wouldn't be too hard for it to be replated?
Anyone know?
Jon? Bernie?
Our first m/h, “The Turtle” (cos it carried its home on its back and couldn’t exceed 80km/h without a tailwind and a downhill slope) had a 10speed manual box.
It was a Jayco prototype (chassis #6 of 6) which they never proceeded with at the time. 1982, from (unreliable) memory.
Had a shower, but only a Porta-Potti, and a gas mantle light for off-grid illumination. Problem was, every time we went over a cattle grid the mantle shattered.
