Similar story in North-Eastern Victoria.
Our rain gauge recorded 88mm overnight yesterday.
Overflowed my ‘flood barrier’ of 2” sleepers for the second time in a week. At least it slowed down the mud, in combination with the grass we’ve finally got growing on the slope uphill.
Took half a day to clean the carport first time… might leave it to see if there’s another cloudburst in the offing before I tackle it again.
The little weather man in my phone says today’s max will be 28… 10:00 and my home weather station says it’s already 28 outside. Looking like another 30+ day…

EDIT: Yup. Temperature at 11:00 is 31.6…

Straw bales wrapped in shade cloth work great for letting the water through but keeping the mud where it belongs ..... you see it at all the road works sites where the drainage ditches enter a waterway ....

Problem is that we need to drive a ride-on & occasionally car & trailer through the gate into the back yard…
At least we can drive them over a 2” thick sleeper.
There’s also aesthetic considerations. SWMBO would have kittens if I suggest that.

We are doing ok in Tiaro David thank you for asking road has a repair on it traffic has been moving for a few hours.
The hi way just south of us had water over it this morning gone now.

Good morning everyone.
Average for our area according to Google is 210mm but can be plus 90mm Jon...but I don't know what the truth maybe. That's for the Nort5h Burnett,
Most of the roads that go under have, I have been told the bridge at Brooweena has been damaged with the supports having the base being washed away, so no way to Maryborough along our normal way.
Last time they had the same problem was 2013, according to next door, he would know he has property throughout the area.

We had a few showers through the night as well.
And now spiting again, I can see the drops on the window in front of me
And believe it or not we got the annex down and dry...bit of luck there, still one end not packed but under cover...should be dry by now.

Good morning everyone. It sure is wet up your way Bernie, enjoy your bacon and egg. I'm doing roast beef for lunch, so no brekky for us.
Apart from taking Bandit for a long walk, we achieved bugger all yesty. Will have to get the Bougainvillea cut back today, its green bin day tomorrow.
