Selling Yamaha EF2400is inverter Generator

Post by SteveW »

I am about to advertise my Yamaha EF2400is inverter Generator on ebay. It is a little too large for the bin in our motorhome - used to fit in the caravan OK. I will buy a Honda 2000 or similar.

I purchased it second hand, haven't used it much. It starts easily and runs well. Has the cosmetic scrapes that any used generator will have. I'm going to put a starting price of $1000 on it. Follow the link for specs.

Is it electric start or pull start Steve?

Pull Start - easy. If it has been started within the previous couple of weeks it will fire first time. If it hasn't been started for a month or more, a couple of slow turns of the motor with the fuel on, then turn on the ignition and starts first time. It has the start qualities of all modern Honda and Yamaha small motors.

Hi, all

Steve - would you take a Bushmonster genset as a straight swap? I assure you it's quite small and easy to carry, very little use, and fuel consumption is moderate. Oh, yes - it's a gorgeous primrose yellow. Mrs steve will love it.
See you on the back roads,

If I may answer by quoting your own quote -"The neighbour's 2kw Honda is like a sewing machine by comparison."'

I don't know how many smileys I would have to add to make that sound nice, but there you go. :) :) :) :)

Thanks Steve, I was looking for an electric start generator at a good price for a proof on concept thing. An intergrated all in one power system that would start the generator between say 10 am and 4 pm if the battery dropped below a certain level, then switch it off again till needed again. That way, if a vehicle is left unattended, as long as there was fuel in a remote tank, the batteries would remain at a suitable state of charge to keep the fridges and freezers going.
The price is a very good one, If I had a need for a generator myself, I'd grab it.
