Good morning 23c cloudy, we had continual rain again o'night for a few hours, looks like we might have another muggy day, sun trying to make an appearance. The Lake is still high, ocean to rough to allow water to run out, still lapping under the jetties.

Note the lawn on the hill down to the lake, just as well we have number 1 g'son, as posted before he mows it for us.
More heavy rain & storms are predicted for our NSW coastline.

Sure is Jon, we spend many hours sitting on the deck, idyllic sitting here now not a soul on the lake, so peaceful only the sound of birds, we also enjoy it at holiday time & weekends when it comes alive with folk enjoying themselves. We bought an original old holiday cottage here on the lake in 1995, it was a sleepy little village, we lived in it for 18mths & then built a new house, certainly has exploded like everywhere else in the last 26 years, Cragan Bay another new subdivision being developed on the road into the area now.

Peter maybe when the seas subside the lake emptying out might move some sand/silt, still talking about dredging the channel again.
The new C.C. Council had three earth moving machines trying to open up Tuggerah lakes at The Entrance last week to stop low lying areas flooding, there was a lot of water in the streets near Budgewoi CP on Friday.

That storm the other arvo dropped 14mm in my gauge, and the fog yesterday was the thickest I've seen here, I would have been lucky to see more than 50 feet when walking yesterday.
Not much went on here yesty Carol was out
I did manage to make the leads from the Victron controller with inline fuse, Still to mount the solar panels Dave how are the Panel/s mounted on your "winny" with the rubber coating ?

Good morning everyone. Did a bit more trimming yesty after our morning walk. We went to the school that Terrie worked at for a few days last week, to pick up some stuff that she left there. Can't believe how high the water got in some places during the floods.
Bernie, the panels on our Winny, and all the factory fitted ones that I have seen, are mounted using 50 x 50 x 3mm alum angle the full length of the panel. It is screwed down through the rubber and timber sheet to the steel tube frame that the m/h is made of. Not sure, but I reckon you could locate the rafters with a stud finder.
Going to give the Winny a wash today, the bats were a bit active last week.

We'd be playing aqua bowls the greens are water logged, lucky they don't flood, the club is on waterfront reserve foreshore.

They must have changed how they build them, the Avida has aluminium up each side, the roof is ply with the rubber on top, polystyrene foam and an aluminium sheet that makes up the inside ceiling so there is something strong enough to attach the hatches and lights without them falling off when you shut the door too hard. There is nothing in a late model Avida-bago to mount panels to on the roof itself, only the rails along each side .... and be mega careful drilling into them, that is where they run the wiring ......
