Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

George, it is only a waste of money if you don't consider your health important.

Terry, what are they growing that uses so much power?

Shirley, couldn't find those glasses, just picked up the new ones. The spare set now in a safe spot.
My Terrie had a cataract in one eye, the surgeon put in a 1.5 lens in, she can see better than me now, apparently.
Cheers

"tanks" ere---Shirley,
I had both of my eyes done many years ago and in those days the surgery was only done on one eye at a time. The 'done' eye is a little irritated for a few days, and it is necessary to use eye drops and perhaps an eye pad for about a week.
My vision was much improved, and colour recognition was amazing. Still to this day I don't need glasses to read or for distance.
They put plastic lens in my eyes. I have a few other 'bits' that need replacing but this service is not available at my age.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Thanks Keith, Fortunately we are in a health fund so Bruce will be able to have them done as soon he decides time is right, there is a new specialist locally so that's good too, he will be very happy if he has better vision, he's always complaining that he can't see things.

Good morning everyone. Bob, just sneak up on it and do a little bit here and there. Same for you Bernie. No good buggering up your back. I'm back on tree/ shrub trimming today. We had a little storm late yesty arvo. Almost missed us. Didn't challenge the rain gauge much. Have you finished the bus yet Jon?
Travel safe if you are out and about. Happy days everybody.
Cheers

Morning all.

Have had to take the engine and g/b out again.

20,000 ks ago, I replaced the gearbox with one from the wrecker. It front input shaft was a bit rusty and chewed out the seal. It was replaced and a speedi-sleeve added. Turns out that the oil-seal lip caught the sleeve and folded over. (you can't see it when installed).

I must have disturbed it when refitting the clutch this time and low and behold, a little leak. New seal installed and almost finished. Started Sunday.

George, good luck with the medical - driving licence test. Be humble. The doctor is the person who decides yes or no.

Jon, been seeing the same GP for 25 years, she knows whats right or wrong with me. Eyesight test without glasses will be the main concern.

Passed GP Medical, don't need glasses for driving. Just the heart specialist to go, next Friday.
