Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Talk about non sequiturs… 🤔😳

=========================================================================================
What is a non sequitur? I asked myself?
========================================================================================
Logic. an inference or a conclusion that does not follow from the premises. a statement containing an illogical conclusion: The built environment has to be more presentable than it was in the past, but it's a non sequitur to claim that this must occur at the expense of cultural value.

I watched the Shane Warne send off at the G and was pleasantly surprised, I actually enjoyed it, much better than those church hymns/ prayers pomp and stuff. I like the lad a bit more now because he liked my fav singer ie Andre Bocelli. The 2nd of the air con person came out to give a quote, appointment was made for 2.30pm, he arrived at 12.30pm (no ph call) Turns out he was just a sparkie not a salesman and he did nothing but look in the ceiling, turned the air con on to test strength of air coming out . Then he said he would get all the info he had gathered back to the office and the salesman would send a quote. Guess who isn't getting the job? I asked him the exact questions we asked the first salesman and he could only guess but his guess was a couple of thou more and also for a smaller hp unit. Next door had the big concrete truck down our driveway this morn and once again they only did another block around the 5 x 2mt area. Still a lot more to do yet. I have just put Derek"s chick soup recipe in the slow cooker and it can do it's thing over night. Bed time, goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Homeless aka Brian x :D

It seems that just to get replacement air conditioning, you can't expect honest tradies or professional sales people. Then who the heck can you trust, Dot? I have come to detest having to deal with any kind of tradie. Sick of the shonky ones, anyway. Figuring out if they are shonky or not, is another problem. :o xxxx

This afternoon, we had so much rain that it was impossible to talk to each other and the phone was turned off because we couldn't hear anything on it either. The rain gauge said that we had over 2 inches of rain in a couple of hours. I can believe that. The biggest worry now, is not just the amount of water, but the undermining of big trees. There will be many big trees just fall over, after so much heavy rain.

I took out another black and white bowl from the kiln. It looks, well, black and white. I have three more to get fused and then the black and white will be done for a while, well unless they sell out really quickly (not very likely)

sweet dreams xxx
Deborah

Deborah.

Is the kiln big enough to make glass bottom boats?

Could help the search and rescue people to find the houses.

Deborah, your rain gauge isn't telling fibs. At one point of that storm we had over 100mm in an hour, some places had even more. You are right about the big trees falling over. There is at least one big one fallen over in the park up where I walk the dog. Just laid over until it's big spread of branches touched the ground. It will have to go now, unfortunately, because it's blocking access to the pathway.
Cheers
