Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Time to have a shower and get mentally prepared for getting up around 0500 hrs and that is a scary thought. Then the drive down the freeway will be a challenge with all the peak hr traffic and dam roadworks every where. Hospital sent a sms to say check in time is now 0645hrs. Credit card in hand and the shops may call me . Take care everyone. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Rick x :D

Dot, just in case you don't know, it's still dark at 5am.
Watch out for kangaroos in the dark. Enjoy the shops, and be gentle with George. He'll need a good rest. :D
Cheers

Good luck with the early transport run Dot. That's prime sleeping time here! Hope the Gman gets good treatment and comes home happy. xxxx

Jon, you are a comedian. Kiln is a cube that measures 30cm on all inside walls. My larger sheets of glass would be more useful for locating underwater objects, but would probably be a bit dangerous to try.

Had another drowned day here. The rain just keeps on falling and when it is in the loud phases, it's really heavy and deafening. We were woken last night by a huge crashing noise. A curtain rod had fallen from a broken hook. The crash was a couple of glass wind chimes that were hanging from it. Lucky, there was only small damages, that will take time to fix, but they are fixable. Annoyingly, the rod crashed down on a vase and it's totally wrecked. It will have to be re-imagined. I don't think the pile of little pieces will ever be a vase again.

I spent some time in the shed, building a couple of plates from some browny swirl patterned glass. A few friends have asked for different shapes in this glass, so I cut enough for a bowl and another for a platter. That is now enough glass cut and ready for the kiln to last a week. So I will stop the fancy cutting now and get on with fusing.

sweet dreams out there xxx

I must hit the sack, tomorrow will be a non event for me. Just got off the ph with my M8 in NZ , this one 2 1/2 hrs, Just put the tv on and the Adelaide teams are playing, How rude and sportsmanship are the crowds when something is mentioned of the other side. Worse was at the Shane Warnes memorial when people were being mentioned the crowd booed loudly when Scomom was named, that was disgusting and those people need to be ashamed.. Another thing with sport that pees me off is their spitting and footy snots filthy buggers. I think my Bombers lost their game against Melb tonight  Q What on earth is these Hashtags people keep saying to use?
G has gone off to bed and so I say Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck, hows the ankle progressing? x :D

Dot, good thing that you can have a bit of a sleep in tomorrow. I reckon you deserve that after such a long day today. xxxx

Another yuck weather day here. Cold, wet n very windy. Obviously not the best day to do the gardening.
I filled the kiln with a couple of pieces of glass to be fused. One will be a bowl and the other will be a platter.

Never a dull moment here. Our neighbour who is also our tenant has just finished a week of "isolation" with covid. She seemed to have done several things out of her home while she should have been glued inside. This week her daughter has tested positive and we have noticed the daughter's car has gone out n about most days. Even if she doesn't leave her car, she is still not at home. The next house, has a wealthy lady, who writes how own rules and she has also had a week of "isolation". Amazingly, the two ladies are heading off tomorrow on a road trip to Armidale, for a birthday party. They are both passed the five days of being infectious (so they say) , therefore they don't need to be isolating any more. I am so glad not to bee going to that germ spreading event. The best part of the story is that our tenant has been working in a big tent, for that last 6 months, doing covid testing. Amazing how some of us actually follow the rules completely and others just do as they want.

no nightmares tonight, sweet dreams xxx

I had a haircut the other day. The girl with the scissors was rolling me that Covid is complete BS, so is the vaccine. Said I should just dose up on vitamin C. I had to be very careful what I said to her. :(

G'day Dot,
At the stage where I no longer need to use the crutches to walk with providing I'm wearing the bloody hideous boot.

After about 10 days started to get pain under the right little toe joint about the same time as I realised the foot was leaning more to the right so tried different methods to correct that & eventually fixed it by adding a folded strip of cloth under the ball. Also, started getting shooting pains around the entire foot half way through each day... eventually realised I had the straps a bit too tight.... now it's looser & much better.

Had a video link with the surgeon a couple of days ago & he was very pleased with the result... told me to go to my regular Dr to get the stitches removed & to advise that it was a running stitch!! Did so to the nurse but he - yes HE decided to do it his way & snipped off both ends of the stitch... but then had nothing to grab hold of to remove it. Dr came to check & was not happy... nor was I. Anyway, he said it will become obvious when it is ready to pull out...

Trina volunteered to remove it when the time was right.

Strangely, she was smiling when she said it!!!
