I used the JG fittings when fitting out the Oka over two years ago now and the only ones I've ever had a problem with were a couple that as previous posters said hadn't been pushed right "home". Fortunately they were both external and hard to get to, probably why they weren't fitted correctly the first time.
The whole plumbing system both hot and cold is doen with JG fittings.

I have Hepworth compression fittings throughout Wilbor, both hot and cold. I have never had a leak either. They have an insert and I found them particularly easy to use. I have seen some on E-bay at a reasonable price too.
