Re: Good morning daily
"tanks" here---
Light rain overnight, not heavy enough to wake Mr Major from his deep sleep on his new pet mat.
The temp is only 20.9c in Dysart at the moment with 63% humidity and I am looking for the 'Sun Button' to start the Sun and chase away the cloud cover.
The house next door (#26) was listed for sale a few weeks ago and is now under contract so I may have new neighbours soon.
My other neighbour from House 30, whom some of the Forum members have met, died in her sleep at the nursing home in Mackay last week.
The relations in Mackay are going to list the house for sale in the near future.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
Keith,
We’d love to have an 0845 temperature of 20* at the moment! At 0900 we had 7*!!
We saw the sun briefly on Thursday… so I took a picture of it to keep us warm.
I note you’ve changed your signature… NEVER give up, mate!

Re: Good morning daily
It has finally warmed up here in upper Mannum, but that could be cause I've moved back into the "office" and I'm sitting in front of the air conditioner
A little bit of rain over night, but keep sending it over this way please, tanks still not even close to full yet.
Hoping to run the last lot of new cable down through the roof on this caravan today so I can start to wire up all the power point with wire heavy enough to carry the current. With the assist capability of the new Victron inverter adding up to 10 amps into the shore power supply, the 1mm conductor cable was just not going to cope, even the 2.5mm cable will be at its upper limits so it is single cable in conduit run across the roof of the van, only coming inside the wall cavity where it supplies the power point groups in that section. 2 x 2400w appliances running at the same time still adds up to 20 amps after all .....

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone from beautiful not sunny but overcast downtown Mulwala. The fog over the lake has started to lift, I think the drizzle washed it away. Isn't going to be much of a day. Safe travels everybody.
T1, You should report the manufacturers of that van. It is illegal to use 1mm cable to wire power circuits, as you would well know.

Helen,
If you are planning to head south, there’s room for you in Rutherglen.
Power, water and a level concrete slab available.

The really funny thing is, the cable going from the multiple connection power point is 1.5mm sq, but the feed from the junction box up front to the power board is 1mm sq cable. I think the original wiring from the junction box (come switch that had been disconnected) was for the inverter supply only and it originally had a 600w inverter. The sparky who rewired it, fitted a new shore power plug and 2.5mm cabling, a new 2000w inverter was fitted with shore power pass through, so both inverter power or shore power travelled up the cable to the electrics cupboard and all the cables from every appliance and the junction power point came out from there. The water heater and air conditioner was originally powered from the shore power inlet part way along the van but that had been removed and BP connectors on the cable ends.
It also seems, this sparky added a heap of additional power points as well. This leads me to thinking he was a major part of the problem, he didn't actually check the cable size to determine if it could carry the additional loads he had added to the circuit.
Anyway, I've finally got the last lot of cable through the roof to supply the hairdryer power point, the washing machine and the hot water element. As usual, I managed to put the hole saw through two cables, but the third seems to have survived .... a complete mystery where they came from or went to because there is only one cable supplying power to rear of the van and that is the one that melted .....

Morning All, [afternoon actualy]
I'm in Glenview Qld after leaving Jandowae this morning. Camped behind a BP servo [diesel $2.059/L].
Parked here as I have to be in Pelican Waters by 0830 tomorrow, while new midge screens are fitted [$100 p/window X5 door $50] then Maroochydoore on Monday to pick up new hot water system. Then Bundaberg for minor adjustments and fitting of said H/W system. Then back to Ca$$ino for Doctors appointments.
