Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A certain person we all know tells me he is Lactose intolerant so my cream covered banana caramel, pavs are not good for his gut, looked for lactose free cream but to no avail so what do you people use other than butter and cream? how do you make scones without cream? sandwiches without butter etc????.

My X used to make scones with SoGood and Nutelex margarine
She made them for my Dad during his last days ( did I say he did mention he loved scones) with honey and jam on them,( no dairy )
The first offerings were duck killers, that is if a duck was game enough to try and eat one of the rocks, but after a few attempts got it right enough for Dad to pig out on them.
I'd ask her for the recipe but I'm on her "hate List" and we don't speak ( or see) each other unless she's forced to.

Ron there are tabs people can take before they eat dairy foods, it isn't a cure but it reduces the effect on the gut. I might give the special cream a go for my next scone session, but only if that T person is kind to me tomorrow.. Has been a lovely fine sunny day but cold at the same time. I see the tennis brat is going to be facing DV charges serves him right, if he is like he is on the tennis court imagine what he would be like with a female in privacy?? . "tanks" here---
Qld TV are not showing Mrs Browns Boys tonight, so all that is left for me is to watch the digital clock change numbers.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Sandwiches with margarine would be free of butter Dot. As for the scones, if you go back to the old ways of rubbing butter into flour type recipes, using margarine would work there too. But the cream and lemonade recipe that is so quick, would be impossible to replicate with no dairy. Hope you are warmer than here mate xxxx

Our jetty is underwater on high tides, but so far, no serious flooding. This has certainly been a horrible "weather event" . While I don't think the floaties are needed just yet, it is not great to see a few metres at the end of our block is covered by 2 inches of lake water. It will recede eventually and we will be able to drag the caravan out. We are hoping for it to dry out a bit before we need to pull the van out tho.

With our daughter and grand daughter staying today and tonight, we have had an entertaining day. 8 year old is quite a chatterbox and has had us laughing a lot. The path to shed is too underwater for me to take the girls down there. That means the kiln has been untouched, today. Will get back to it, once we have the house to ourselves.

Deb,
I hope the wiring for the kiln is above potential flood level. 😳
… and the kiln itself!! 🤔
