Hello?

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hello?

Post by Swisslulu »

Where is everyone? Packing up ready to head to Whitfield? We are camped at Police Paddocks north of Rutherglen on the Murray. Beef cheeks braising in the camp oven as I type. Had a bit of trouble getting the head beads going so dinner at 10pm I reckon! No yahoos or yobbos in sight. :-) Erich had success setting up the lithium in the car for the Engel today so he is a happy chappy. Probably head in to Rutherglen tomorrow to test the auxilliary battery charging from the alternator. I will be happy to get to Whitfield and talk to some girls!

Well half your luck. I am stuck here in Melbourne with a couple of shifts to go. Just looking forward to 4 am Thursday morning and getting out of the rat race for a few weeks.

Glad to hear the batteries are coming along. I share Erich's excitment. I bet he is relieved. Have you tried the Crocodile and water buffalo pies from the bakery, very nice. Better than smoked cod

Haven't been into Rutherglen yet but those pies sound good. Even I wouldn't try to pass of smoked cod as something edible in a pie! Looking forward to catching up with you and Raena soon.

I've been busy trying to sort out the electrical spiderweb in the Mazda, every thing wired with 2 core red cable or 2 core black cable doesn't make life easy when all the wiring disappears ito lengths of black hose or under boards and up into wall cavities. I'm down to 6 wires that I have no idea what they do, so I've made quite a bit of headway
I've got my Dingo and relay and cell logger and timer circuit all working they way they should, and the inverter works, so I'm happy with that part as well. Hopefully I'll have the wiring at the rough enough is good enough stage by tomorrow lunch time, then I can start putting it all back together
Pack Moday, off early hrs Tuesday morning.... well that's the plan anyway 8-) see you at Whitfield.

Did warned ya about telling the mechanic it wasn't a rush job ;) "come for a day, stay for a week" is a well known motto around the mechanical workshops.
Hhope you get the bus back early Monday so you can pack all your goodies you have stack in the front room and hit the road. Take the stuff over in the car and start packing it in at the mechanics workshop, that'll speed 'em up a bit

Well that motto wasn't in my old Terry's workshop, he would work through the night to finish a job. Probably his downfall that killed him. I just want the dam thing done properly this time. C U when we C U :D
