O/T what electricity company are you happy with?

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

O/T what electricity company are you happy with?

Post by aussichef »

After 6 years on the road, full time. My wife and I , for medical reasons. Have to move into a unit for about 6 months or so. So we are putting our van in storage , and moving into a unit in Adelaide on the 5th April.
Now not having payed for electricity ( or rent for that matter lol) for the last 6 yeas . I was wondering what power company forum members are with here .
As I find it very confusing looking at all the plans and rates etc.
The unit is all electric, including cooking and hot water. And has a split system aircon
I know there will be as many opinions as there is power companies and plans. But hopefully forum members can , simplify my choice or at least narrow it for me.
Having said this though. We will be back on the road by this time next year at the latest.
We only travel on the pension. But most people would kill for our lifestyle
Thanks in advance for your advice

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that Warren & Barbara.
Pity you have to go into the city as rent & storage expenses would be much higher there than out in the country a bit.
I was with AGL up until that TV organised group buy which was supposed to give me a big % cut but almost to the day the contract started AGL (through Gov pressure) reduced their rates. Isn't it always the way?
The Company WAS TruEnergy but it's now changed to...
http://www.energyaustralia.com.au/home
Get their best quote & then ring AGL? They;ll match it but watch the length of contract if you only need it for 6 months.

PS. Norman or George might need a lend of your MH the way things are panning out!!!

It's public housing thru Housing SA. So rent is good at only $133.30 a week
We where on the priority list . So waiting time was nothing at all lol
Storage is another matter. Mst want $200+ a month for storage. One company I'm moing to look at on Tuesday is $90 a month and has a good reputation .
Any cost weather it's rent ,storage or power bills. Aren't things I like or have had to pay over the past 6 years lol. Much rather pay diesel and travel. But oh we'll next year
