Wow Deborah, hope the lord & master's condition improves quickly & you yourself are feeling stronger & healthier soon.
Sorry to hear that Mr Major has gone to doggy heaven, sending a hug & sympathy to Keith. My son had to have their dog Max euthanised this week, he was 15 yrs., blind, deaf & his back legs went on him couldn't stand up, sad time he was our g'dog, he always came to stay with us when they went on holidays.
Been a big day it was my birthday, played bowls after I came home had all the family visit, which was special great having them all live local.
Nighty nite everyone.

Thanks Dot, just been a weird sort of time for us. xxxx
Happy Birthday Shirley xxx
Tanks, my heart goes out to you for this sad time. Losing a best mate is never easy. Try to remember the good times xxx
I actually did a small grocery shop today. Somehow the pantry and freezer needed a bit of restocking. Fresh meat and veg and all meals planned for the next week to take some of the pressure off. Tomorrow we are going to visit a GP and try to get all the different things that docs have told us and make some sense of it all.

Hope that bus is going somewhere soon Dot xxxx
Thanks Jon, it's a slow recovery and hopefully recovery is the right word.
Doc today told us that we will know more after the cat scan next week. Translates to mean : he knows nothing either. Fingers crossed.
Today I had the surprise of caravan insurance renewal in the mail. Truly these companies are living with their heads in the sand. Last week I had to pay to have the "agreed value" of the patrol raised so that it would be a little bit closer to what it would cost to replace in the real world. I thought the idea of insurance was that if the object needed to be replaced, then the payout should be close to what the replacement would cost.
I also know that if I order a new van today it would probably be two years before that van comes off the factory floor, and at what price? I looked at what it would cost to buy another secondhand van, that has the same features as ours. The surprising thing is that there are none like it for sale at all and certainly none with full bathrooms under $50,000. CIL have given us the "agreed value" of 29,500. I rang to say that is not agreed and asked for a reasonable replacement value. They will go up a huge amount to $35,000 and no more . Looks like I am going to be doing a lot more research for van insurance. Generally, I am fed up with having to do all the research when the insurance companies know full well that the real world has had some huge changes in pricing.
Sorry for that whine. No more complaints this week from me.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I am disgusted at some people and what they are writing on fb re our new King Charles. His mother has just died and the disrespect is sickening End of rant. Weather has been crap today so nothing been done outside or inside for that matter. Hope all you travelers are having a good time and all the sickies are feeling better. Boys on bikes are on so I shall say goodnight, everyone x
Goodnight Chuck x
Hope you are having a good catch up xx PS Deborah it seems these days it is up to the consumer to do the homework before you accept anything, they ie all companies only think of the $$ they can make for themselves.

Deborah interested in your finds as I have the same problem, RAA would only insure for what I paid not what it was worth. All so have to cover the upgrades I have done. Cheers Robert

We had the same problem. Paid less than market value for Girt. Insurance broker was not seeing anything but the number on our receipt.
Had a valuation done, presented it to (then) C&$A broker whose company name was three letters starting with K — now absorbed by a large insurance company — and got an Agreed Value policy.
Regards & God bless,

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Our first day on the road for a 4 month trip. Parked up at Wyper Park Scout Camp about 15 kms west of Bundaberg. I’m refereeing a Croquet Comp tomorrow and Erich is playing. We have a couple of Jayco MH gatherings planned and then Xmas in Melbourne. But the bloody 3 way fridge has decided not to play on gas, so it is running off the lithiums till we go to bed then all day tomorrow while we are at the croquet club. Hopefully we can get it looked at on Monday. Fortunately it is sunny during the day.
